Emirati Expressions

We went to the Emirates Palace yesterday to look at some paintings from Emirati Expression. The paintings were by Emirati people and some of them showed their paintings for the first time. There were some photographs which were taken by some Emiratis also Each painting reflects the artist feelings. I will now examine two paintings which are the best in my point of view.

The first picture shows a Man behind bars and in front of a wall but the prison was not closed so if he took two steps back he would be able to exit from this prison. Actually I understand what the artist means from his painting. He means that everybody hold his freedom in his hand and if anybody feels that he or she is in prison that means they put them self in this situation.

The second painting has three men in it. The first man cannot talk because there was someone covering his mouth and the second man cannot hear because there was someone covering his ears and the third one cannot see because someone is covering his eyes. My opinion is the writer means that there is someone stop him and taking his freedom and actually this person is a woman and I know that because I can see her hand in the picture. I think he means that his wife takes all the control in his life.

All and all, it was an interesting trip we enjoyed there because most of these painting reflect the big change in the Emiratis between the past and present.
